@amanda@social.spejset.org It's exceptionally odd how 'AI' has managed to(in some circles) totally flip the implications that existed around search engines. "let me google that for you" was understood as a blunt rebuke that you were asking a question so trivial that it was basically an insult; and, even back when google tried to be useful, returning raw search engine output was a deliberate slap in the face.
The Harvard Business review piece on 'workslop' has less literary interest but is in a similar vein.
