ICYMI - we need to keep Mastodon secure, and to help everyone to enjoy the latest improvements. We support older releases for fixed periods (main release version “minus two”, for six months after release of latest; so 4.1.x ends 6 months after 4.3 is released). Per the support policy, End of Life for the 4.1.x series is approaching. We’ll also start to remove instances that run older versions from the list of servers on the website, as we retire older versions. Please upgrade! 🙏🏻 #MastoAdmin

@andypiper@macaw.social are there any good documents that detail how to upgrade between 2 versions? The GitHub release notes are usually pretty decent about going up within a version, ie 4.1.x to 4.1.y, but I think I’ve missed the instructions for going from 4.1.x up to 4.2.x and 4.3. x. Is it just read everything, take copious backups and try everything?
