productive capacity to maintain, repair, replace, and upgrade the fleet is gone
anything built after 1989 is trash
procurement is mired in corruption and bureaucracy
every engagement reveals new cracks, diminishes stockpiles, and curtails an already dwindling capacity to sustain combat

not that everything is gonna be just fine from here on out. rest of the world is gonna push us back into our own hemisphere where Holden Bloodfeast and company are waiting to carve up central and south america and turn it all into one giant gaza. will canada even get the chance to denounce the usa before it pre-emptively invades, lunging and snapping at shadows like a mad wounded animal?
