Another error I see, is judging instantly by their appearance online, or in real life too! You know my sona and main oc is a gray pone that doesn't smile. Odd character concept I am aware, but it's part of his story and characteristics! And people over pony town (as I play that game with my sona's appearacne) thinks I am a rude or evil person just because of the looks, and starts making conclusions even without talking to me. Many times I get not-so-good commentaries due that. And once they know I am not a menace they always change their attitude. And not just towards me! Newbie people over the game with not so detailed ponies are always the nicest ones, but other players ignores them or acts as if they were a nuisance. You will not believe the amount of newbies that tells me I am the first person to be nice towards them, and it really hurts me knowing that!

I know it's a common human instinct thing to be defensive in difficult times. We can't deny that. But we can try fight to stay gentle in terms of meeting others, both online and at home! I am not saying that we should be all good vibes and laugh at everything, but changing a bit for the better in the long way can help a lot. In another game with an horrible community, I had chosen to stay there until the game shut down with the only intentions to be gentle with others, and after months of working, I started to notice the players around were starting to be less harsh! As we were like 50 people online daily, the results appeared a bit more soon, but it can happen with bigger communities too! Yeah, I don't want to give myself all the credit, but I am sure my attitude had impact there. The point here; all effort counts to make things turn for the better. We're all little humans (and ponies) and we are together in this thing called life! yay!
