@realsimon@mastodon.green I cant read eBooks. I just can't. I bought the highest quality Kindle because it's closest to actual paper than any other device screen. And still the technology 'gets in the way' of me reading. With a paper book I vanish into the world. I'm no longer reading words, I'm living in the world spun by the author - people and actions happen around me. But with the e-reader I'm stuck in words. I'll read three pages and realize I haven't remembered a single event from two pages ago. It's a hollow, empty experience that leaves me unfulfilled. Paper books are far superior in every way.
