just learned an incredibly versatile word: croustade An edible container (often of pastry) filled with a savoury foodbread bowl? that’s a croustade. taco shell? croustade. tortilla on a burrito? croustade. bread on a sandwich? croustade “edible container around a food that would otherwise be too messy to hold in your hands” is such a common thing and I’m so happy to have discovered a word for it!
