The “rules” in politics no longer apply. Trump has proven you can do whatever you want with the attitude of “oh, you don’t like it, make me stop.” And so far, litterally no one has. In fact he’s been rewarded for it. So why on earth are the Democrats so beholden to “rules” and “norms” that don’t exist? It’s like the Democrats are playing a game strictly by the rule book and appealing to some referee who doesn’t exist, while the Republicans disregard all rules and norms and win.
