@XanIndigo@writing.exchange @colin_mcmillen@piaille.fr @cyrille@masto.bike Primarily, it’s an onomatopoeia - A trumpet or elephant will toot, and one can “toot one’s own horn” to positively speak of one’s own accomplishment. However, when _I_ think of “toot”, there’s a childish rhyme that comes to mind and yes, I know it’s childish and factually incorrect, but we are here nonetheless: Beans are the musical fruit The more you eat, the more you toot. The more your toot, the better you feel. Beans, beans for every meal.
