@GIFmodel@olia.geocities.institute I don’t think I’m simplifying history, it’s just a framing device. I’m talking about broad trends. Eg even in what I have labeled the “Platform Web”, that was a time when the Indie Web thrived. I understand that you don’t like the “Read Web” term here, but I think it’s valid in the context of the trends I’m discussing.

If you don't want articles to be perceived as discussing history, I would recommend not including years of perceived periods. As for the "read only web", where do you think websites that users were reading were coming from?
