@BrambleBearWhuffling@sunny.garden I didn't have a chance to check your links yet but in case it didn't come up in your results- lots of alpine + dryland plants would do well in walls (+ do in many places). Many of those might only be considered ornamental, but can dramatically extend the flowering season to the benefit of pollinators + other beneficial insects; also many of those plants have uses as medicines + food/flavourings etc. Likely native plants in any region that prefer drier/exposed sites too :)
