@JamesWidman@mastodon.social @neauoire@merveilles.town not only that. They saw the "everything is a file" principle, and ran crazy with it. The FS was a dbase, and so were all the meta data/attributes of *all* files. Everything was dynamically linked (symlinks). You could (this is mid to late 90s, mind ya) move a file while USING it. You used this at your own risk, but it WORKED.
