@admin@mastodon.slightlycyberpunk.com @rabbit@cathode.church Sorry, I was not able to see the concept when first tooting, so I write again. Looks a lot like @thebadspace@polychrom.ing But with choosing the "trust instances". (Which is also in the philosophy of the Bad Space) Seems like a nice starting point for a new server. Personnaly, as a mod in an established instance, the main problem is much more dynamic. If we could automatically import decisions from trusted instances (with or without check afterward), that would already be a huge benefit for mod teams.

@sous_mon_masque@eldritch.cafe @admin@mastodon.slightlycyberpunk.com my premise is explicitly more individual people choosing their own webs of blocks that have nothing to do with moral/badlist reasons rather than server admins blocking explicitly bad actors, so it’s a different problem. I feel that the old tierlists (tier 0 blocklist, etc) actually approach what I was (personally) getting at a little more but if we’re talking about admin webs of trust I think having a framework where people aren’t relying on one or two badlists but can slowly build interconnections is more what I was talking about—more tools are always good
