As an epilogue to this story, I told my friend who I was there with about the interaction and later pointed him out. She said "Oh, that's definitely a gay man, and he wanted to sleep with you".
So I guess my gaydar is out of calibration.

Although he did begin talking to me because he said I looked like "Love Sausage" from The Boys, so I suppose the signs were all there.
