.gov and .mil should disappear. The US can use .gov.us like any other country.

Honestly it is pretty silly it’s still like that. Are the subdomains enforced in other countries? The other option is expand .gov .mil for all UN nations and enforce country sub domains (ie .us.gov and .md.gov).
