@Julie@social.coop With accessibility it's easy to get (blindness being probably the most obvious) but I would wager a guess that the majority of people have genuinely no clue what issues Black people might be facing *on fedi in particular*. (I.e., not counting general racism that's not limited to fedi.) I care about racism a lot but the only thing that comes to mind is white supremacist or free speech extremist instances, which all the major instances block anyway, so I've got no clue either what the issues might be. Would really like to understand. (Also, which Black people are we talking about? The experiences of Black Americans are probably quite different than those of the various African nations?) That recent thread from the Black guy whose name I now forgot (something with Aziz I think) didn't really help me understand it either. There were screenshots of a guy being rude because he didn't believe there were any issues. (The sarcastic comment saying something like "who's preventing Black people from joining fedi, the KKK?") As much as I agree it was a very rude comment, it didn't seem like anyone was explaining the issue. Neither in the screenshots, nor in the thread talking about the screenshots. If you have any links or so I'd appreciate it. And I'd recommend sharing them so people can read up on what the issue is. After all, complaining that people don't get something doesn't do any good when people aren't provided the means to learn it.
