I keep thinking about adding temperature and CO2 sensors at home for various nerd reasons and keep hitting the "why are these so much more expansive than the ones you could put on a ESP32?" wall. I haven't done much research yet but when I look at Aranet products which are 200€ and then at something like "mq-135 sensor" for ± 5€... I don't know man. There must be something I'm not seeing.
