@ianturton@mapstodon.space did someone tell EPSG that FOSS4G Europe was in Europe this year and they'd better not mess with ETRS89 😛

@ianturton@mapstodon.space there is a constant tension between creating new versions of objects to reflect an updated geodesic reality and not overwhelming users that don't care about those subtelties with an avalanche of new codes. No easy solution to please everybody
