@petealexharris@mastodon.scot I wondered if anyone would call that out, and it's part of my point. I was stating the dichotomy in the way I've heard wealthy folks and/or economists refer to it. The rich are smugly convinced they're 'contributing' to the economy (thereby supporting the rest of us) by buying goods and services (including property and stocks). And we should be grateful... I guess.
