@kaiser_franz@infosec.exchange FISA would still make that hard for people in the US. The Foreign Intelligence Security Act allows US agencies to capture all internet traffic that crosses into or out of the US - if at least one party is not American. So part of the sovereignty of digital services is partly to retain privacy, esp of gov't services that have to be serviced in the US. If the US advanced privacy laws, it would financially impact big tech - but that's, unfortunately, a problem for US citizens. Call your reps.
