And then there was this tiny little beetle, scurrying rapidly around, making it impossible for me to get a good shot 😱
Luckily its colour scheme is distinctive – it's a female jewel beetle called Anthaxia nitidula (🇩🇪 Glänzender Blütenprachtkäfer).
Probably sub-species nitidula as opposed to signaticollis, found further east.

There were many of these little fellows in the bushes, but they were very shy & usually scampered off when I moved near.
