Sounds like an opportunity for creating a name for Tenthredopsis sp. in general.
Snake fly is taken.
Hornet fly? For its abdominal colors.
Wasp fly? For its colors.
Regal fly? For its thoracic detail and crown-like structure on the head.
Stacked fly? For its black markings on its abdominal tergites.
I keep using "fly" since it's a sawfly (a kind of primitive wasp, sort of), but the common name could be anything.

@albertcardona@mathstodon.xyz Interesting thought – how would one go about that in practice? According to this list, some Tenthredopsis species do have common names, albeit not T. sordida, but there's no genus level name, apparently. https://www.sawflies.org.uk/uk-checklist/
