@foundseed@spore.social what I'm getting at is that I feel that you're trying to Afrofuturist Slavs, or even better: Wakandize us :P It's projecting the US national exceptionalism and specificity (even with good things, like the respect for indigenous people) onto a setting where it just doesn't fit. "A green imperialism" as an Egyptian friend called it seeing the process in action. Similar to the discussion on solar farms nearby: each region needs its own solutions and a space to develop them.

    @foundseed@spore.social hence, I want a language to make space for it. I want something inclusive where we don't need to just bow to the indigenous nations known to Americans whose cultural power reigns supreme. I want a place for someone from East Africa, from Malaysia, from Canada and from Estonia can dream up their own futures. Each of them will be different and will address different needs. There's a lot more world outside of the West :)
