@alxd@writing.exchange gotcha, I figured it'd probably be some factor of internalized oppression that allowed their culture to exist as-is next to colonists for so long. It seems to me that there is not homogeneity in the górale culture, and anywhere there is patriarchy, there is unspoken feminism. But I can see why this feels like a poisoned well, to you.
