@kbsez@mstdn.social I've been trying to tell people for years that each state is wearing Ruby slippers that allow it to regulate the actions of corporations chartered by that state.
(States already have significant regulations over corporations that are formed under the state - for example accounting rules, bulk transfer limitations, etc.)
My own proposals called for no expenditures of corporate assets unless approved by unanimous consent of the shareholders. This would allow many closly corporations to make political donations but would effectively deny larger corporations from doing so.)
Montana folks have already picked up the cue...
