@typhlosion@denden.world I say they are different Hats usually simply sit atop the head A helmet is generally positively affixed in some fashion, usually via a chin strap A hat usually covers just the top of the head, while a helmet generally covers at least the back of the head, and often the sides and face as well A hat's purpose is fashion and protection from weather, while a helmet's purpose is protection from impact, projectiles or other physical threats
