my personal stance is:
helmets offer protection against impact to the headhats cover the top of the head but offer no such impact protection. by this definition, a helmet is not a hatvisors, tiaras, burger king crowns, and the like are not hats because they do not cover the top of the head

@typhlosion@denden.world My stance is, a bicycle helmet is a hat, while a plate helmet with visor is not. Hats are worn on the head, not on the face (nor in the head, in the case of piercings).
