I think Germany is about at the point where open violence against Nazis is the last remaining way to defend our constitution. Of course, right-wing propaganda convincing people that we need to stick to the rules of chess if we want to defeat the pigeon has made this impossible. Our constitution is pretty clear on this: Every citizen technically has the right to defend the constitution if there are no other means, and it's pretty clear that the government has already failed at being the "right way" of defeating the Nazis. They refuse to ban their party. They have failed. The citizens are now the last line of defense. And yea, this is terrible; citizens suck at enforcing things fairly, that's the entire reason why the government is supposed to do it instead. This is why our constitution only allows this as a last resort. Fuck everyone involved in letting things get this far.
