Years ago, when my boyfriend and I were first dating, I took him on a drive and we went by a sign for a place called Turnip the Beet on the A81, northwest of Glasgow. It was a glorious day today, so I took us on a drive in the Cabrio to get lunch there.... And it was great! Vegan soup, (huge) sandwiches, a nice veggie haggis sausage roll, excellent coffees, and some lovely gift items.
