@cheryanne@aus.social Another 'celebration' I ignore ... As a child we had to recite some guff and dance around the Maypole to combat the terrible foes of old .. In our case the US paranoia about Reds under the beds ... Cities even held May Day marches ... well, Melbourne did so guess others did too ... Melbourne was so very Olde British in those days ...
