Most companies making vast profits also pay their staff pitiful wages. Their staff end up claiming Universal Credit in order to survive. UC is funded from taxation which the greedy companies (& wealthy tax avoiders) avoid paying. Which means we're subsidising greedy parasites that buy right-wing politicians. Those right-wing politicians scapegoat the poorest & most vulnerable in society to distract people from the inequalities caused by greedy companies & tax avoiders that hoard vast wealth.
