@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot I'm English by birth with a (noble) Scottish name, and grew up in England, about an hours' drive from the nearest border crossing, which we used regularly. I've never lived in Scotland, but have lived in Germany for nearly 40 years. It took me many years of absence to finally understand the harsh meaning of the words "North British" which I saw regularly when growing up. I understand what you're saying, and respect the way you're saying it.
