@notjustbikes@social.notjustbikes.com I worked as a campaigner for more renewable energy circa 2011-2013 and you're right. it is something that Australian fossil fuel supporters liked to rave about (and may still do). They mostly talk pro-nuclear, but that is never going to be built here (and the smarter ones, the puppetmasters, actually know that). It's in reality part of a delaying tactic, so they can sell & burn as much coal and gas as possible for as long as possible before renewables win out.
