The times when they haven’t there have usually been legitimate concerns about the project. Most of the time that a renewable project has been opposed, it’s been generated by astroturfing and conspiracy theorists who have had their concerns amplified by paid groups for mining groups. Robbin’s island I assume was objected to because of the rare parrot migration path, which… is fair enough considering the limited number of that species..

    @stufromoz@aus.social @notjustbikes@social.notjustbikes.com name a 100% renewables company or specific project they’ve championed. If they can say woodside bad, who is good? Asking because I have zero. If the greens are concerned about biodiversity and birds, why the silence on industrial agriculture, which will kill more via climate change than renewables ever will? What are the legitimate concerns to stop a renewables development? Why isn’t it fossil fuelled companies doing renewables?
