Ruminating on the fact that I had to build a remote penetration testing system at $BIG_NAME and I built the whole thing using heavily patched Suckless dwm, surf, and st for the kiosk mode. Using dwm hotkeys to launch support commands via st calling su and having it live in production for years after you lives in my head rent free. Remember, just because it's insane doesn't mean it won't live in production for decades after you leave. Also don't let anyone tell you that your obscure knowledge of customizing your UNIX environments isn't useful.
