My thoughts on #color vs. #blackandwhite in photography: “Leave out the color if it doesn’t contribute to the image’s message. And vice versa.” #Blackandwhite photography has nothing to do with #retro style, the past, #minimalism or creating a particular effect. Even #urban or #streetphotography doesn’t necessarily have to be #monochrome. Leaving out color should never be a gimmick, but rather a conscious stylistic choice. Unlike in the early days of #photography, we have a choice today.
