@momo@floss.social I won’t be surprised that subscription wouldn’t cover all tracks from your collection. Some tracks available now are disappearing with time… Some artists are pulling off from subscription services. Sometimes some rights to stream are lapsing etc…
Streaming services is “pay but do not own” with all its pros and cons.

@t0maz@floss.social Well it does not cover my vinyl collection. But I have a huge percentage of it also digital. You are right, I own the music, but I have to play for my homeserver, when storage has to be replaced and for the electronic bill also the effort to host everything on my own, which means next to the hardware the time that I invest to keep it secure. Maybe you can live with streaming services since most of the artists you listen to will be still available, even if some aren't or aren't anymore.
