Ok, tested on pairs of Sonys, Sennheisers, Boses. Default stack in Pipewire [edit: through BT audio, at least - all I have at the moment] in Fedora 42 seems to output just a little hot somewhere early. I do not know how to diagnose or troubleshoot that. All I really know to do is install Easy Effects and hope it digs its claws in deep enough to calm it down.
