"why don't you like international aid, it's charity and it helps!" I have a dad that I have actual conversations with. And elder uncles and aunts who are old enough to remember the 50s/60s when India, newly independent, was asking for food aid. Then the wheat came in from the USA.Some spoiling, some animal feed grade. Some of it with parthenium, the gd invasive species that we're still fighting off. Most countries send aid to feel better about themselves, not to help the struggling population.
