@willhbr@ruby.social Buy a car—the road isn't a sport facility. If you like biking, go ride in the mountains. Use a car to get around town.

@howking@mastodonczech.cz why should I need a car to get to work? It would take me longer to drive and slow everyone else down, which seems worse for everyone imo

@howking@mastodonczech.cz @willhbr@ruby.social Transportation is the result of choices made by people, it's not a natural law of the universe. At one point, we chose to prioritise cars over other forms of transport, and designed our cities accordingly. It's possible to make other choices, which will require taking space back from cars. I think it's a moral imperative to advocate for these changes, in the face of climate change. Your comments come off as extremely dismissive and ignore some basic truths about urbanism.

@howking@mastodonczech.cz @willhbr@ruby.social so... In fact it is not at all dependent on what you can afford?

  • @howking@mastodonczech.cz @willhbr@ruby.social cars make cities worse for everyone. Just in terms of space, they're a very inefficient way to move people around.

@howking@mastodonczech.cz @willhbr@ruby.social ... You're definitely trolling, if not then I'm not sure why you're talking like one.
