I seriously don't know, please help me: For what do data centers need so much fresh water? OK, cooling, sure. But why don't they condensate that water again? You don't need to fill cooling water in your car all day either? Is this leakage? 5 million gallons per day per datacenter? Can't be true. I tried to google this but it's terrible. Nobody explains this basic fact. I find only massive fearmongering, e.g. https://www.eesi.org/articles/view/data-centers-and-water-consumption The scientific approach is to find a solution, not scare.
