Instances are a big difference. Must interfaces, apps, clients for Lemmy will show you the instance (server) in which a user registered their account. There are kind of “instance wars” inside Lemmy, because, between these “wars” they believe an instance, in general, bears their flag and support some kind of ideology. Please, talk to other users as people, no matter their instance, don’t ever judge them for that.
