@solitha@mastodon.social Considering how social birds are, definitely! I always tell people not to get just one, because even if you spend a lot of time at home, there will be times when they are alone and that can quickly lead to boredom and depression, no matter how many toys they have at their disposal.

@lindenshieldarts@mastodon.social Same with dogs! I felt so bad when I heard about all the "pandemic pups" being adopted. I knew many would end up back in a shelter with behavior problems after people began to return to offices. Too often we only think "how cute" and "I want" and disregard the animal's own needs.
