It's the "now we have one more standard" situation but it could make the transition from IPv4 a bit smoother (would have loved to have this instead of IPv6 tbh)

@loos@aleph.land @jana@social.jsteuernagel.de It's kinda backward compatible, every NIC, firewall, load balancer, etc..that parses raw IP headers needs updating. That's basically every piece of network hardware on earth.
