@RootMoose@mstdn.ca i swapped the broadcom out for an intel wifi module with a cheap (on amazon) adapter. unless you're going to run macos on it ever again then it's a nice way to get around that so it's 'out the box' with linux. you can also get an nvme adapter (i bumped mine up to 1TB). mine is late 2013 but i'm pretty sure the early 2013 still has the parts to be swapped.

@macer@his.macer.life Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll see how much use I get out of it. That machine has been sitting on shelf for like 3-4 years so I'm kinda loathe to even spend $20 on a wifi card. Ha. The screen is so nice though. Hmm, conflicted.
