@theseliminaldays@musician.social We opened for Karate at one of the earliest ever Oceanographer shows.
It was on Halloween at RGRS in Denton, TX — probably around 2001 or so.
Love this band! Saw them play at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Las Vegas in 2024, too.
Their singer Geoff Farina had a lo-fi (sometimes experimental) side project with Jodi Buonano called "The Secret Stars" which is also great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A1BZmLIqFQ

@oceanographer@musician.social that was the album a friend of mine mentioned particularly the song Shoe In, which they’d sent by way of the Ida cover version of that song. So I’ve been listening to all three bands a bunch these past few days.
