@adrianmorales@ieji.de regarding Denmark, it would be more correct to say that our tech modernization agency Digitaliseringsstyrelsen is testing open source alternatives to Microsoft. @adrianmorales@ieji.de Don't get too excited. Neither "France" (the country), nor the French government did ban Microsoft. Only one branch of the government (DINUM – DIrection du NUMérique, in charge of the digital development of the gov) decided to switch its own 250 computers to a NixOS based Linux distribution. We do hope the move will spread globally in all gov branches. The Gendarmerie Nationale police force switched to Ubuntu 15 years ago (~60 000 computers).
