I have never felt a high greater than when I told one of the maintainers of a project I'm trying to learn from that I use Emacs as an IDE, they told me to get an actual IDE so I can (insert IDE functionality here), and then I proceeded to demonstrate all of that functionality within Emacs. This is as close to an "and everybody clapped" story as I have ever gotten in my life. I fucking love Emacs :neocat_uwu:

Okay maybe I'm lying and I had to go out and install that functionality with help from someone else in that chat once I knew it existed, I did not just suddenly whip out a bunch of incredible moves and blow everyone away, but that's just cause I'm an amateur. I was still very 100% correct and it was awesome.
