@RangerRick@redwombat.social right, but a kettle doesn't hold tea. i see people referring to kettles as teapots all the time and i don't understand how that is happening. i can understand people not knowing the difference between a teapot and a coffeepot from looking at them (because coffeepots were used similarly to teapots in the past).

    @piebob@metasocial.com *shrug* I got nuthin’ -- the tea I usually saw growing up was "sun" tea, made in a clear pitcher, or teabags in a cup. It literally never came up, so it was mostly an abstract concept to me. You've already given it more thought than I ever did.
