@irrlicht@social.lithio.fr you don't need a mentor, learning with a learning partner, step by step as you explore new practices is a frequent thing I can't figure how exactly I learned as it was a really progressive thing. Via discussion with kinky friends and strangers, via Oh joy sextoy comics, via blogs, forums and podcasts and lurking some kinkster nsfw account... Maybe my biggest answer on how to get a BDSM education is "step by step" choose one practice that appeals to you, search and ask about it, experiment around this one and when you're bored with it go for a new one. I don't have any book on the topic or payed any course or app. But surely having a partner helps a lot, "I want to explore this new thing" as us both searching for information on the practice and risks. And then try and give feedbacks. Theory alone doesn't built experience. A lot of people have kinky relationship online and solo practices for years before having irl meetings. Having a chat with some experienced kinkster, some webcam play with a masochist in another country or a long-term D/s dynamic with someone you'll never meet will built experience both in the practice and in how to navigate the relationships. I want to setup a website to host some ressources we have built and a hub to online ressources I like because it's difficult to search and know the quality of things (and even more in french, having access to english is a huge bonus) I have opened a proposition for irl kinky covid free meetings and some people want to organise the next one. I hope for it as a big event to become a recurent thing but also I hope for covid free kinksters that they propose some smaller local casual meetings, to chat, wear gear or even practice in smaller groups.
