My friend is having a PowerPoint birthday party tomorrow. Everybody has to talk in five minute slots. I'm trying to not remind myself I have panic attacks when I speak in public. Or that maybe I can sneak out first.
The largest part of me wants to talk about the odds of getting long Covid and the damage it does. But also, other guests will largely be people who don't mask much (and I'll be hiding outside). Doesn't seem like his birthday far to talk about my shitty health conditions. But what would I say for five minutes about gardening, foraging, diversity in STEM and security. The latter 3 sounds like I'm trying to kill people.
I feel like I could make a stupid infographic without using AI that explains the pipeline issue, but it's arguably still a bit depressing.
What should I present on for five minutes or less? Plants, native or perennial and edible? What's a Grex and why should you plant one? Why should women join STEM in spite of an extraordinarily leaky pipeline? Or, I dunno, why are Stardew Valley and Cozy Grove Camp Spirit the best cozy games? That at least is fun.
